Moses Brown School

Tennis and Baseball Complex Upgrade

THE DETAILS

JJA Sports provided sports consulting, permitting, design and construction administration services for the Moses Brown School tennis and baseball complex upgrade. The project replaced their nine-court tennis complex with a six-court fully accessible facility which included an elevated stadium with both court level team areas and spectator seating. The baseball field was upgraded to include a new natural turf field, sized for multi-purpose outfield use, block dugouts and a netting backstop.

The project was the result of a campus master plan improvement which located the state-of-the-art theater arts building in baseball’s left field. This loss of athletic field space prompted reorienting baseball and reducing the tennis program by three courts. Moses Brown Athletics responded to the loss of prime athletic program area with tennis venue improvements that brought the small Providence, Rhode, Island private school athletic program on par with many New England Division III College tennis facilities.
